The Lagos Command of Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC), has commended the Chief Judge of Ogun State, Hon. Justice Mosunmola Dipeolu for her laudable achievements and innovations in the State Judiciary.

The command boss, ACE I, Ahmad Ghali who gave the commendation during a Courtesy Visit to the Honourable Chief Judge in her Office at the State Judiciary Complex, Abeokuta applauded His Lordship for her collaboration and quick dispensation of criminal cases filed in by the Commission.

While appreciating the Chief Judge for designating courts for the effective hearing and determination of EFCC cases, Ghali, urges His Lordship to increase the numbers of courts or Judges to sit on cyber-crimes and other related financial offences in the State.

In addition, the EFCC Boss, urges the Chief Judge to report EFCC Prosecuting Counsels who fail to be non-diligent in the discharge of his or her duties.

Responding, the Hon. Chief Judge of Ogun State, Hon. Justice Mosunmola Dipeolu, noted that inability of prosecuting counsels to get witnesses to court, delays processes which form basis for more awaiting trial cases in Courts.

“Even at that, I still believe that it is important that the cases are disposed-off quickly, having criminal matters for so long in Court is not the best and not in the interest of anybody or even the body of the Justice System” His Lordship added.

Present at the meeting include, the Ogun State Judiciary management team, Mr Rotimi Oyedepo (EFCC Head Legal, Chairman Monitoring Unit, Lagos Command), Mr Mahdi Abubakar (EFCC Head Admin, Zonal Command, Lagos).
